?Ministry Of Sound in Germany were very quick to sign this to their label whilst Jules enlisted the help of Alan Glass (Lighthouse Family, Mystique) and Lauren Dyson (BassHunter) to help write a song over the Disco Destruct Record. “Beat Dropz” is the collaborative end result.
Alan Glass has written many a hot record for acts like Mystique and Lighthouse Family. Lauren Dyson has recently been signed to Jorgen Olefssons’ (Westlife) publishing company in Sweden and has co-written a single for a girl band in Japan called Girls Generation that has sold 250,000 copies in just five days (their album including this single is also at Number Three in the World Sales Charts)
Jules Spinner, nearly a veteran of the UK Electronic Dance Music scene. A musician from an early age, having learned Piano and then playing Bass Guitar in school bands. Jules career really started in 1990 when he started DJ’ing. Quickly gaining a name for himself on the early rave scene led to playing gigs across London and following that at legendary clubs such as Pacha and El Divino in Ibiza. After a number of years DJing but also promoting at Nicky Holloways Velvet Underground Club in Charring Cross, Jules moved into the recorded side of the music business working for BMG and then the label at Ministry of Sound, London.
After 3 years working across the business including as A&R manager, Jules left to set up Lowered Recordings and to focus on his productions.
Within a year of leaving Ministry Of Sound Jules put together Bhangra Knights and produced their hit record ‘Husan’. This reached No.6 on the UK Singles Chart following signing to Positiva Records.
Jules spent the next few years touring Bhangra Knights with his MC Fitzgerald Fyne. The act played everywhere from Africa to Yemen, their biggest gig being for MTV Moscow playing to a crowd of 15,000 at the state football stadium.
Having now signed Beat Dropz to the absolute cream of the worlds dance labels 2012 is looking very big for Jules.
